MOBILI SINTETICI celebrate the basics of carpentry: straight and inclined square cuts, veneering, surface and edge finishing. The combination of the basic material format and the intention to create objects of character through extremely simple and common carpentry are the building blocks of Mobili Sintetici. By simplifying the production to a few elementary processes, Medulum has worked on the volume of the object. Therefore, the geometries that make up each piece are both decoration and form. The objects allude to robotic or mechanical imagery with vague anthropomorphic features and do not seem to come from a traditional production but rather the result of an experimental process of synthesis.
